2009 Family Christmas Party

You've never seen a party this big. Taking up 80,000 sq. ft. in Copps Coliseum, in downtown Hamilton, the annual guest list is about 30,000 names long. There are over 100,000 pieces of candy, several booths of children's gifts, a 30-ft. tree at Centre Ice, clown bands, a Santa Claus, a ton of elves, and a lot of camaraderie.

Party tickets will be mailed to employees & retirees mid to late November.

 

W will have continuous entertainment on two stages:

12:00 – 12:30          - The Christmas Party Clown Band

12:30 – 1:00            - The Brian Michaels’ Illusion Show

1:00 – 1:20              - The DOFASCO Pipe Band

1:20 – 1:50              - The Brian Michaels’ Illusion Show

1:50 – 2:20              - The Christmas Party Clown Band

2:20 – 2:50              - The DOFASCO Male Chorus

2:50 – 3:10              - “Kids Karaoke”

3:10 – 3:40              - The Brian Michaels’ Illusion Show

3:40 – 4:00              - The Christmas Party Clown Band

4:00 – 4:30              - The DOFASCO Male Chorus

4:30 – 5:00              - The Christmas Party Clown Band

In addition to the shows, there will be lots of fun with face painting, caricaturists, more clowns and other activities spread throughout the party.  To complete the carnival atmosphere, stop by the various kiosks to sample the popcorn, candy floss and hot chocolate.

 

The Dofasco Christmas Party has been held every year since 1937. We have a Party Planning Committee that works year-round to ensure that everyone has a good time – from the smallest child to the oldest retiree. Four hundred volunteers help to make the party a festive affair. "Santa" lets the kids choose a present to their liking at one of the many toy booths. Families can take turns on the ice, or simply be amused by the many characters, bands, organ music, and displays throughout the Coliseum.
